Marie Fitting Shook 92, of Ghent and lifelong resident passed away Wednesday November 27, 2019 at Pine Haven Nursing Home in Philmont. Born in Ghent on December 19, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Henry C. Sr. and Clara (Kohlmeier) Fitting. Marie was an apple packer with Hudson Cold Storage for many years. Marie was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and loved gardening. She will be greatly missed by her family including her daughter: Rosemarie Taylor of Philmont, grandchildren: Zoe, Davena, Josh and Merry also 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 56 years Russell Shook in 2003, also pre-deceased by brothers: Henry Fitting Jr., John P. Fitting Sr., Christopher "Pete" Fitting and sisters: Elizabeth Andreczik, Caroline Atwood, Margaret Molner and Elsie Glynn. Calling hours and funeral services are private.
