Mary Campeta Nero Mitchell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mary Campeta Nero Mitchell, 87, born in the City of Hudson on May 14, 1928, died Sunday May 24, 2015 at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Daughter of the late Gino and Mary (Balducci) Campeta, she graduated from Hudson High School in 1946. Married Carmen E. Nero in 1949. Three children survive her, Fred James and (Anita) Nero of Naples, FL, Gina M. Nero of Belmont, MA, and Carmen J. and (Joan) Nero of Ancram, NY. Mary is survived by two brothers: Anthony and (Frances) Campeta and Frank Campeta, two sisters: Gloria Campeta and Jean Baney, grandchildren: Matthew (Leah) Nero, Janine, Andrea and Maria Nero. She is also survived by a kind and loving step-daughter Dorinda Hallenbeck and her husband Robert as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary married Onnie Mitchell in 1979. Mr. Mitchell died in 1996. She was also pre-deceased by one brother John Campeta in 1959, and grand-daughter Erin Nero in 2007. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00am on Thursday May 28, 2015 at Holy Trinity Parish/ St. Mary's Church 429 E. Allen St. in Hudson, with Fr. Winston Bath officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery in Hudson. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions in her memory are requested to the Golisano Childrens Hospital 1265 Creekside Pkwy.
