Our History

Our History

McDonald Funeral Home was established in 1917 in Hudson, New York by John F. McDonald. Originally located on the 300 block of Warren Street. The Funeral Home moved in 1965 to the former Dinehart Estate at 886 Columbia Street and was operated by brothers Fred J. and John F. "Jack" McDonald. On October 4, 1993 it was purchased by Vito Lawrence Sacco who operated at that location until 2008 when Mr. Sacco also purchased the Valenti and Richards Funeral Home at 700 Town Hall Drive in Greenport, and merged, to become the Sacco-McDonald-Valenti Funeral Home and now Sacco Funeral Home.
